Pump Sprayer
A hand-held pressurized tank for applying liquid products. Most homeowners use 1–2 gallon pump sprayers for spot-treating weeds, applying liquid fertilizer, and treating small areas with insecticides or fungicides. You pump the handle to build pressure, then pull the trigger to spray.
Pump sprayers are the most versatile tool for liquid lawn and garden treatments. Fill the tank with your mixed product, pump the handle 10–20 times to build pressure, and spray. The pressure gradually decreases as you spray; re-pump as needed.
Best for: Spot weed treatments, small area applications, liquid fertilizer and iron applications.
Care: Rinse thoroughly after every use. Herbicide residue inside the tank can damage desirable plants during the next use. Dedicate separate sprayers for herbicides and fertilizers/insecticides.
Tip: Fill with clean water and spray through after use to clear residue from the hose and nozzle.
